Linie Aquavit 700ml

Linie is the Norwegian aquavit that earns its name by crossing the equator. Every batch is matured in ex-sherry oak casks that are loaded onto ships, sailed to Australia and back across the line, and the constant motion and temperature swings are credited with rounding the spirit out. Caraway is the signature botanical, as it is in all aquavit, and the sherry wood gives it a colour and softness most of the category lacks. The nose is caraway, dill and dried orange peel; the palate is warm spice over soft oak with anise, fennel and vanilla; the finish is dry and herbal. Serve it well chilled with smoked fish, or stir it into a Nordic negroni.
