Lip Service Straight Rye Whiskey 750ml

Lip Service is a straight rye whiskey, which under US rules means at least fifty one percent rye in the mash, aged in new charred oak with nothing added but water. Rye is the grain that gives whiskey its bite, and it is the reason a rye reads sharp and herbal where a bourbon reads sweet and round. The nose gives rye spice, mint and toasted oak; the palate is peppery and dry with caramel underneath and notes of dill and clove; the finish is crisp and clean. This is the whiskey a Manhattan was written for, and it makes a sharper old fashioned than any bourbon will.
