Los Siete Misterios Olla de Barro Espadin is an artisanal mezcal from Oaxaca, Mexico, distilled in traditional clay pot stills ('olla de barro') rather than the more common copper. Made from 100% Espadin agave sun-ripened before harvest, the agave is cooked in an underground pit and distilled the traditional way, giving this 2022 release a sweet, smoky character with real fruit and herbal depth. Clay-pot distillation is less efficient but is prized among mezcaleros for the earthier, more rustic character it leaves in the spirit compared to copper stills.
