About this bottle
DESCRIPTION
Los Sundays Reposado is the brand's additive-free blanco given about ten months of rest in used American oak — barrels that once held Tennessee whiskey. That's a long stay for a reposado, close to añejo territory, and it shows: the bright, peppery agave of the blanco softens under vanilla, caramelized stone fruit, and a little milk chocolate off the wood. It pours a real gold, not a faint tint, and stays additive-free — mature highland and lowland agave, well water, and yeast, nothing more. The barrel does the talking here without burying the agave underneath it. This is the 200ml flask, a good size to sample the reposado or throw in a bag. Drink it neat to catch the vanilla, or use it in an Old Fashioned–style tequila cocktail.
TASTING NOTES
Color: Deep gold.
Nose: Vanilla and toasted oak, roasted agave, and a touch of caramelized stone fruit.
Palate: Vanilla and agave honey up front, then black pepper and a hint of milk chocolate, with a light tannic grip.
Finish: Medium and smooth, oak and roasted agave with a peppery tail.
HOW TO DRINK
Neat is best — a copita or short glass at room temperature, to let the vanilla and oak come forward. It's rich enough to sub for whiskey in a tequila Old Fashioned, where the ex-whiskey barrel makes sense. Skip the frozen margarita blender; this one's wasted buried under lime and sugar.
