Lost Lore Tahona Blanco 750ml

Lost Lore Tahona Blanco is an unaged tequila crushed with a tahona, the stone wheel that presses cooked agave slowly instead of shredding it through a roller mill. It is a slow, labour-heavy method, and it tends to carry more of the plant's fibre and earthiness into the finished spirit. The result reads mineral and savoury: roasted agave and wet stone on the nose, a palate of cooked agave fibre, olive brine and green pepper, and a long, dry, faintly chalky finish. This is a sipping blanco first. Take it neat in a copita at room temperature, and if it goes into a cocktail, keep the build simple.
