Louis roederer Cristal 2016 750ml

Louis Roederer Cristal 2016 is the house's prestige cuvée, made only in vintages Roederer considers worth declaring and drawn entirely from its own grand cru vineyards, a substantial share of them farmed biodynamically. It is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay aged at length on its lees before release, and the extra time shows in the texture. The nose is citrus zest, white peach, toasted brioche and chalk; the palate is taut and precise, with fine persistent bubbles, saline minerality and a creamy weight beneath the acidity; the finish is long and dry. Serve it around 10 degrees in a white wine glass rather than a flute, with oysters, turbot or aged hard cheese.
