Maat Soju Original is unflavoured soju, the clear Korean-style spirit distilled to a neutral base and bottled at a lower strength than vodka, which is exactly why it is poured into small glasses and shared rather than sipped alone. The nose is faint: clean grain and a whisper of sweetness. The palate is smooth, light-bodied and slightly sweet, with none of the bite a 40% spirit brings, and the finish is short and clean.
