About this bottle
Maker's Mark Stewards Release is a limited annual bottling from Loretto, Kentucky, put out in small volume and built on the same wheated recipe the distillery has used since the 1950s. Red winter wheat takes the place of rye as the secondary grain, which is why Maker's drinks soft where other bourbons bite. Expect the house signature turned up a notch: caramel, baked pear and vanilla on the nose, then toffee, toasted grain and gentle baking spice on the palate, with oak and brown sugar carrying a warm finish. Releases like this one move quickly once they hit shelves. Drink it neat, or over a single large cube.
