Mascota Anejo 750 ML

Mascota Anejo is the aged expression in this Jalisco tequila range. Anejo means at least a year in oak barrels under 600 litres, and that year does the heavy lifting: the agave stays present while the wood adds colour, sweetness and body. The nose runs to vanilla, cooked agave and dried fruit with a little toasted oak, the palate is soft and layered, caramel and baked pear sitting over a peppery agave core, and the finish is long, warm and lightly spiced. This is a sipping format rather than a mixing one. Serve it neat at room temperature in a copita, or over a single large cube.
