About this bottle

Meletti Amaro comes from the Meletti distillery in Ascoli Piceno, Italy, a house founded in 1870 and known for its anisette as well as this classic bittersweet amaro, made from a proprietary blend of herbs and botanicals macerated and aged before bottling. It's built as an after-dinner digestif in the traditional Italian style rather than a mixing spirit, though it has found a place in modern cocktail bars too. Expect orange peel, dried herbs and light caramel on the nose, a bittersweet, syrupy palate with baking spice, and a warm, herbal finish. It's a benchmark Italian amaro.

How to drink Meletti Amaro

Serve it neat or over ice after a meal, or swap it into a Negroni variation in place of Campari for a rounder, less bitter drink.
