Method Sweet Vermouth is a New York take on Italian-style sweet vermouth, made at Swedish Hill Winery in the Finger Lakes from Valvin Muscat and Cayuga White wines fortified with brandy from Finger Lakes Distilling. Method blends in 29 botanicals — wormwood, bitter orange, vanilla and more — echoing a classic Turin-style recipe. Bottled at 18% ABV with a noticeable sweetness, it opens with bruleed citrus and marzipan, moves into cola and dark cherry on the palate, and finishes on wormwood, cacao and fig with a herbal edge from sage and thyme. It works equally as a Manhattan or Negroni component or poured over ice on its own.
