MEZO Guava Mezorita is a canned mezcal margarita: agave spirit, guava and citrus, mixed and chilled so there is nothing to shake, measure or strain. Mezcal instead of tequila is the whole point, because the smoke gives the drink a savoury backbone that a standard canned margarita simply does not have. The nose is ripe guava and lime with woodsmoke underneath; the palate is sweet-tart tropical fruit cut by agave smoke and a salty edge; the finish is short, dry and refreshing. Serve it very cold straight from the can, or pour it over ice into a salt-rimmed glass with a wedge of lime. Four cans to a pack.
