About this bottle
Midleton Dair Ghaelach is the series in which Irish single pot still whiskey, already matured in ex-bourbon barrels, is finished in virgin Irish oak, with trees felled from a named Irish forest, air dried and coopered in Spain, then tracked all the way to the bottle. Each release names the individual tree its wood came from, so Tree No. 4 is its own small batch with its own profile. Expect toasted oak, vanilla and orchard fruit on the nose, a creamy pot still palate of clove, green apple and honeyed spice, and a long, dry finish of oak and pepper. Bottled at natural strength. Neat, with a drop of water.
