Monologue Chapter 7 Secret Highland Single Malt Scotch 21 years 700 ml

This is a 21 year old Highland single malt bottled by Chapter 7 in its Monologue range, the series the independent bottler reserves for single casks. The distillery goes unnamed, which is standard when a producer sells a cask on without allowing its name to travel, so the whisky is judged on what is in the glass rather than on the label. Two decades of quiet maturation show in the texture. The nose is orchard fruit, honey and polished old oak; the palate is baked apple, malt and soft spice with a waxy weight; the finish runs long and dry. Pour it neat and leave the water aside.
