About this bottle
New Deal Portland Dry Gin 33 comes from New Deal Distillery in southeast Portland, Oregon, an early player in that city's small-scale distilling scene. It sits in the American dry camp, where juniper is present and structural but the citrus and spice around it get room to speak instead of being pushed to the back. The nose is juniper, lemon peel and green cardamom; the palate is piney and peppery with a citrus middle and a hint of coriander; the finish is dry and clean. Use it in a gin and tonic, a Tom Collins, or a martini stirred cold and finished with a lemon twist.
