Nuestro Placer Reposado Cristalino is a tequila rested in oak and then filtered back to clear. Cristalino keeps the softness and vanilla that barrel time gives while returning the spirit to the look of a blanco, a modern style that splits opinion but lands well when the filtering is handled carefully. The nose is cooked agave, vanilla and a little toasted oak; the palate is silky and lightly sweet, with caramel, citrus and soft pepper; the finish is smooth and short. Serve it chilled and neat, or pour it over one large cube with an orange twist and let it sit a minute.
