Old Line Single Malt Whiskey is the flagship from a veteran-owned distillery in Baltimore, made from one hundred percent malted barley and matured in oak on the Maryland waterfront. American single malt is a young official category built on a very old idea, barley and one distillery and nothing else, and Old Line was making it long before the federal rules were finally written. The nose is malt loaf, honey and stone fruit; the palate is soft and cereal-sweet, with vanilla, toffee and a light nuttiness; the finish is clean and medium, drying gently into oak. Drink it neat, or reach for it where a lowland scotch would normally go.
