Old Potrero Straight Rye is a pioneering American rye whiskey from Old Potrero, the whiskey arm of San Francisco's Anchor Distilling, made from 100% malted rye rather than the more common rye-and-corn mash bill most straight rye whiskey uses. That 100% malted rye recipe was one of the first attempts to revive an 18th-century style of American whiskey when Anchor launched it in the 1990s, well before the current rye boom.
