Pantalones Reposado is the middle expression of the organic tequila line founded by Camila and Matthew McConaughey, distilled in Jalisco and rested in oak for at least two months before bottling. That short stay softens the edges without burying the agave, which is the balance a good reposado is after. The nose is cooked agave with vanilla, honey and a little toasted oak; the palate is smooth and medium-bodied, showing caramel, baking spice and citrus peel over a peppery agave core; the finish is warm and moderately long. Sip it neat, or build it into a tommy's margarita where the agave nectar echoes the barrel sweetness.
