Patrón Extra Añejo is the oldest expression in the Patrón lineup, made from 100% Weber blue agave grown in Jalisco, Mexico. It rests for a minimum of three years in a combination of French oak and used American whiskey barrels, well beyond the one-year minimum required for the extra añejo category. That extended aging pushes it closer to a fine brandy than typical tequila: dark amber in color, with dried fruit, toasted oak, and caramel layered over the agave's natural sweetness. It's built for unhurried sipping rather than mixing, and suits drinkers who already reach for aged spirits over cocktails.
How to drink Patrón Extra Añejo
