Pere Magloire Fine VS Calvados 750ml

Pere Magloire Fine VS is a Calvados, the apple brandy of Normandy, from one of the region's long-established houses. Cider is fermented from local apples and then distilled, and the spirit rests in oak before bottling; VS marks the younger end of the range, where the fruit still leads and the wood plays a supporting part. The nose is fresh apple skin and orchard blossom, the palate is crisp and lightly spiced with baked apple, pear and a thread of vanilla, and the finish is dry and clean. Drink it after dinner in a tulip glass, or pour it long over ice with tonic.
