Pinhook Collaboration #4 Rye 6 year 750 mL

Pinhook Collaboration is the series where the brand blends alongside partners outside its own house, and the fourth release is a six-year-old straight rye. Six years tends to be the sweet spot for rye: old enough that the oak has softened the grain's sharper edges, young enough that the pepper still leads the drink. The nose is dill, mint and brown sugar, the palate runs rye spice, caramel, orange peel and a herbal green streak, and the finish is dry, warm and long. This is a cocktail rye with enough backbone to hold up neat. Build a Manhattan or a sazerac with it and it will not disappear.
