Planteray XO 20th Anniversary Extra Old is a blended aged rum released to mark 20 years of the brand formerly known as Plantation, matured first in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in Grand Champagne Cognac casks — the "double ageing" the name refers to. It's bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV). The cognac finish shows up fast: tropical sugar cane and toasted coconut up front, moving into banana and cocoa, with candied orange and a faint cigar-box note carrying through the finish. It's richer and more layered than a standard XO, built for rum drinkers who already know the brand and want to see what the extra cask time adds.
How to drink Planteray XO 20th Anniversary
