Pochteca Hibiscus Liqueur 750ml

Pochteca Hibiscus is a Mexican liqueur built on jamaica, the dried hibiscus flower that has been steeped into agua fresca across Mexico for generations. Hibiscus brings its own acidity, and that is what keeps a liqueur like this from collapsing into sugar: the tartness runs right through the middle of it. The nose is dried hibiscus, cranberry and a little citrus peel, the palate is sweet and sharply tart with red berry, rose and a clean floral note, and the finish is bright, dry-edged and long. Pour it over ice with soda and lime, top it with sparkling wine, or shake it into a margarita for colour and bite.
