Puntas Azules Reposado is a blue agave tequila rested in oak, which is where the pale straw colour and the softer texture come from. A reposado sits between the sharp clarity of a blanco and the sweeter, woodier register of an añejo, and it is usually the most food-friendly bottle in a range. The nose gives cooked agave with vanilla and light oak, the palate carries caramel and agave sweetness alongside cinnamon and white pepper, and the finish is medium, warm and drying at the edges. Pour it neat, over one big cube, or into a smoky, spirit-forward tequila old fashioned.
