About this bottle
Rabbit Hole Mizunara Founder's Collection is a 15-year Kentucky straight bourbon finished in Japanese Mizunara oak, among the rarest cooperage in whiskey. Founder Kaveh Zamanian hand-picked these barrels from his own reserve and bottled them at cask strength. Mizunara lends a distinctive perfume of nutmeg, allspice, walnut, and leather, laced with mint, honey, and orange. The palate runs earthy and confectionery at once, tobacco and oak set against custard, banana, and cinnamon, before a close of dark cherry and lingering chocolate. Fewer than 2,200 bottles were made. Pour this one for a quiet night with nothing to prove and time to follow every layer down.
How to drink Rabbit Hole Mizunara Founder's Collection
Pour this neat and give it real time in the glass — Mizunara oak is famously slow to open, and rushing it with ice would bury the incense and stone-fruit layers that make this bottling worth the price.
