Rayzer's Edge 6yr Cask Strength Straight Rye 750ml

Rayzer's Edge is a six-year-old straight rye bottled at cask strength, meaning nothing was added to bring the proof down once the barrels were dumped. Six years is a sweet spot for rye: enough time for the wood to soften the grain's raw pepper, not so much that the oak takes the whole conversation over. Undiluted, expect dill, mint and brown sugar on the nose, a palate of rye spice, caramel, dark cherry and a little cocoa, and a long, hot finish. Add a few drops of water to open it up, or pour it into a Sazerac where the extra strength survives the ice.
