Redbreast Moscatel Wine Cask Single Pot Whiskey 750ml

Redbreast is Irish single pot still whiskey, a style made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled in copper pot stills at Midleton in County Cork. The unmalted barley is what gives pot still whiskey its thick, almost oily texture and its green, spicy edge. This bottling spends time in casks that held Moscatel, a sweet fortified wine, which layers dried apricot and honey over the house profile. Expect orchard fruit and raisin on the nose, a palate of baked apple, marzipan, sultana and pot still spice, and a long, creamy finish. Drink it neat; water is optional and ice is not welcome.
