About this bottle
Redbreast Missouri Oak Edition is Irish single pot still whiskey from Midleton in County Cork, matured with casks built from Missouri-grown American oak. Wood from different forests behaves differently, since grain tightness changes how quickly a whiskey pulls vanilla and tannin from a barrel, and this edition exists to show what one specific oak source does to the house character. Underneath sits the usual Redbreast frame: malted and unmalted barley, triple distilled, thick in texture. Expect vanilla, orchard fruit and toasted spice on the nose, a palate of baked apple, honey, clove and creamy grain, and a long spiced finish. Drink it neat from a tulip glass.
