Foursquare Redoutable Single Blended Rum is a 14-year-old rum from Foursquare Distillery in Barbados, part of Richard Seale's Exceptional Cask Selection series. It blends two rums of the same age produced on site — one matured fully in ex-bourbon barrels, the other in ex-Madeira casks — bottled at cask strength with no added sugar or coloring, in keeping with Foursquare's standard practice. The nose carries dried fruit, toffee and oak; the palate brings caramel, vanilla and baking spice with real weight behind it; the finish runs long with a faint sweetness from the Madeira side of the blend. Built for rum drinkers who already know Foursquare's reputation and want a cask-strength expression to sip slowly, neat.
