Redwood Empire Screaming Titan 750ml

Screaming Titan is a single-barrel bottling from Redwood Empire, the Sonoma County house that names each release after a named redwood. Everything is matured and bottled in Graton, California, where coastal fog holds the warehouse temperature down and the whiskey takes its time with the wood. The nose opens on caramel, vanilla and baked apple; the palate is soft-edged and sweet, with butterscotch, cinnamon and a little stone fruit; the finish is dry oak with a peppery lift. Single barrel means the character shifts cask to cask, so read this one on its own terms. Serve it neat, or over a single large cube.
