Reigncane Vanilla Bean is a vanilla-infused vodka released as a limited edition, built on a sugarcane base rather than grain. Cane spirit brings its own soft sweetness to the glass, which suits vanilla better than a sharper neutral base would, because the flavour sits in the body of the vodka instead of perching on top of it. The nose is warm vanilla pod and a little cream soda; the palate is round and lightly sweet, with custard and baked sugar; the finish is short, clean and gently spiced. Pour it cold over ice, stir it into espresso, or use it as the sweet half of a dessert martini.
