Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal is a Fine Champagne cognac, meaning it is blended entirely from Grande and Petite Champagne eaux-de-vie, the two chalkiest crus in the region and the ones that age longest. It is bottled at 40% ABV, and this limited-edition presentation dresses the same liquid in commemorative packaging. The nose is baked plum, toasted oak and butterscotch; the palate is rich and slightly savoury, with fig, brioche, caramel and a trace of roasted nut; the finish is long, warm and gently spiced.
