Rhum J.M Atelier Jardin Fruité is a rhum agricole from Martinique, distilled from sugarcane juice pressed within hours of the harvest at the distillery below Mount Pelée. The Atelier bottlings each pursue one aromatic idea, and this is the fruit-forward member of the family: mango, banana and ripe yellow plum on the nose, a palate of tropical fruit and cane sweetness with a green herbal snap running underneath, then a clean finish with a lick of white pepper. Drink it neat to read the esters, or make it the base of a Ti Punch, stirred with lime and cane syrup and no ice at all.
