Ricarda Amor Blanco is an unaged blanco tequila, bottled clear and straight rather than resting in wood, which is where cooked agave shows itself most plainly. Blanco is the category's honest tier: nothing hides behind barrel sweetness, so the fruit, pepper and mineral edge of the agave have to carry the pour on their own. Expect a nose of cooked agave, citrus zest and white pepper; a palate that runs sweet then peppery with green herbs and a touch of salinity; and a clean, bright finish. Serve it chilled in a copita with a slice of orange, or shake it into a margarita or paloma.
