Roots Kanela Fine Cinnamon 700ml

Roots Kanela is a Greek cinnamon liqueur, kanela being simply the Greek word for cinnamon. It sits closer to a spice cabinet than to a candy shop, with real bark character rather than the hot-sweet rush most cinnamon bottlings deliver. Roots builds its range from traditional Greek recipes, and this is one of the household ones. The nose is warm cassia bark, clove and orange peel; the palate is sweet but rounded, with baking spice, honey and a faint woody bitterness underneath; the finish is warm and lingering. Serve it chilled as a digestif, add it to hot coffee or mulled wine, or spice up a whiskey sour.
