Russells Reserve Limited Release 2024 15 year 750 ml

Russell's Reserve 15 Year is a limited annual release of Kentucky straight bourbon from Wild Turkey, and the 2024 edition carries a full fifteen-year age statement, unusual restraint from a distillery that could have bottled these barrels far younger. Fifteen Kentucky summers put real oak into the glass without tipping it over into bitterness. The nose is char, dark cherry and old leather. The palate is dense and dry-edged: toasted oak, tobacco leaf, dark caramel and a little baking spice. The finish runs long, tannic and warm. Drink it neat in a glencairn and give it ten minutes in the glass before deciding anything about it.
