Salvadores Mezcal Artesanal Destilado Con Elote 750 ml

Salvadores Destilado con Elote is a mezcal given a final distillation with corn, one of the destilado traditions in which an ingredient is added to the still for a last pass and the spirit carries its character out the other side. Corn contributes sweetness and body rather than a flavour sitting on top, so the agave underneath stays clearly in charge. The nose is toasted corn, wood smoke and warm tortilla. The palate is round and softly sweet, with cooked agave, buttered corn, a little cream and a green pepper lift. The finish is gentle, smoky and long. Drink it neat and slowly, ideally alongside something off a grill.
