Sazerac Rye Full Proof is a straight rye whiskey from Buffalo Trace, bottled at 125 proof rather than cut down to the strength the standard label wears. The extra alcohol thickens everything: the same New Orleans-facing rye recipe, with the volume turned up and the sweetness pushed further back. The nose is anise, clove and dark honey. The palate is rich and spicy, with cinnamon, black pepper, toffee and a candied citrus note underneath. The finish is long, hot and drying.
