Released by Buffalo Trace Distillery as a permanent extension of the Sazerac line, this expression bypasses the traditional filtration and dilution process. It is bottled at the exact barrel entry proof of 125 proof (62.5% ABV).
While the standard 90-proof Sazerac Rye is known for being soft and approachable, the Full Proof edition is intentionally intense, untamed, and deeply complex. It is designed to capture the raw, robust flavors of the whiskey exactly as it matures inside the charred oak barrels of Frankfort, Kentucky.

Tasting Notes:
  • Nose: Punchy barrel char and bold oak. Bright citrus oil, dried apricot, sweet vanilla cream, and sharp clove.
  • Palate: Big, oily texture. Rich dark chocolate, gooey caramel, toasted rye bread, and peppery baking spices.
  • Finish: Extremely long and warming. Lingering notes of black pepper, herbal tea, leather, and deep molasses.
