Sheringham Fresh Lemon is a citrus liqueur from Sheringham Distillery on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, the same small coastal producer behind the Seaside and Kazuki gins. Lemon liqueurs live or die on how brightly the fruit reads, and this one keeps the peel oils forward rather than burying them under sugar. The nose is lemon zest and citrus blossom, the palate runs sweet but tart with juicy fruit and a little candied rind, and the finish is clean and mouth-watering rather than syrupy. Serve it very cold in a small glass after dinner, lengthen it with soda over ice, or pour a measure into sparkling wine.
