Siduri Willamette Valley is an Oregon Pinot Noir from Siduri, a producer founded by Adam Lee that built its reputation almost entirely on single-region Pinot from the West Coast. The Willamette Valley bottling draws from Oregon's cooler northern vineyards, which is why it reads more red-fruited and savoury than its California siblings. The nose is cranberry, black cherry and damp forest floor; the palate is bright and medium-bodied, with red berries, baking spice and fine-grained tannin; the finish is long and lifted by acidity. Serve it just below room temperature with salmon, roast chicken or mushrooms, and open the bottle half an hour early.
