About this bottle
Siembra Alteño Reposado is a highland-style tequila from Jalisco's Los Altos region, made from 100% blue Weber agave and rested a minimum of six months in American oak before bottling. The extra time in wood builds a golden-amber color and folds baking spice and vanilla into the tequila's cooked-agave base. Expect caramel and light oak up front, with the herbal, citrus-tinged agave character still coming through underneath rather than being buried by the barrel. The finish is smooth and moderately warm, with cooked agave lingering longest. It suits someone who already likes reposado tequila and wants a highland-style, agave-forward version rather than an oak-heavy sipper.
How to drink Siembra Alteño Reposado
Neat or on one large rock is the move — the barrel time gives it enough structure to hold up without ice diluting the agave character too fast. It also makes a genuinely good Old Fashioned riff if you want to bring tequila into whiskey-cocktail territory.
