Smoke Lab Classic Vodka 50

Smoke Lab Classic is an Indian vodka distilled from rice rather than wheat or potato, bottled here as a 50ml miniature. The base grain matters more in vodka than it usually gets credit for: rice tends to leave a rounder, softer texture behind even once the spirit has been filtered clean of aroma and colour. The nose is faint, mostly grain sweetness and a trace of citrus; the palate is smooth and slightly creamy with a gentle sweetness and only a light pepper bite; the finish is short and clean. Pour it straight from the freezer, or use it as the base of a martini, a mule or a bloody mary.
