Stranahans Bottled in Bond American Single Malt Whiskey 11 Year 750 ML
About this bottle
Stranahan's 11 Year Bottled in Bond is the Denver distillery's first Bottled-in-Bond release and, by the distillery's account, the oldest Bottled-in-Bond ever produced in Colorado. It is an American single malt made from 100% malted barley, distilled between January and June 2015 and aged in new American white oak barrels with a level 3 char in a bonded Denver warehouse. Cut to 100 proof with Rocky Mountain water, it shows grilled peach, caramelized sugar, maple, dried apricot, toffee, and baking spice. Hand-filled and individually numbered, it is a limited release for collectors and single malt drinkers curious about American whiskey.
How to drink Stranahan's 11 Year Bottled in Bond
Neat is the way in, in a tulip glass with a few minutes to breathe so the stone fruit and maple come forward. A small splash of water is welcome at 100 proof, but ice and mixers would waste an eleven-year-old whiskey.
