Taster's Club - Wolfburn Langskip Single Malt Scotch 750 ml

Langskip comes from Wolfburn, the distillery at Thurso on Scotland's north coast, the northernmost mainland producer in the country and one of the newer names to earn shelf space on merit. This expression is matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, which push vanilla and toffee forward while the coastal setting leaves a salt lift behind them. The nose is vanilla and orchard fruit with sea air, the palate runs honey, toffee and baked apple into warming oak spice, and the finish dries out long with a saline edge. Bottled at a higher strength than the core range. Drink it neat, then open it up with a splash of water.
