Teeling Single Malt Marsala Cask 16 year 700ml

Teeling's Marsala Cask 16 Year is an Irish single malt with a genuine age statement, finished in casks that once held Marsala, the fortified wine of western Sicily. Fortified wine casks push a malt toward dried fruit and nuttiness rather than the vanilla you get from bourbon barrels, and Teeling has made a habit of this kind of cask work since reopening distilling in Dublin. The nose is dried apricot, raisin and honeyed malt, the palate brings sweet wine fruit, toffee and orange peel over soft malt, and the finish is long and sweetly spiced. Pour it neat in a tulip glass and give it ten minutes in the air.
