Teeling Whiskey Single Malt Cask No 88948 750ml

This is a single cask Teeling, drawn from one barrel numbered 88948 and bottled on its own rather than blended into a larger batch. Single cask releases are the least standardised whiskey a distillery sells: what the wood did to that one barrel is what ends up in the glass, so the bottle count is small and it never repeats. Expect malt biscuit, honey and stewed orchard fruit on the nose, a rich palate of toffee, dried fruit and warm oak spice, and a long layered finish that dries out on oak. Drink it neat in a tulip glass, adding water only a drop at a time.
