Tenjaku Japanese Vodka 700 ml

Tenjaku is a Japanese producer best known for whisky, and its vodka carries the same house instinct: restraint over statement. Japanese distillers tend to prize soft water and heavy filtration, and that shows in the texture here more than in any single flavour. The nose is very clean with a faint grain sweetness and a mineral edge, the palate is silky and soft with light citrus and a delicate sweetness, and the finish is short, pure and cool. It is a vodka made to disappear into a drink cleanly rather than assert itself. Serve it ice cold and neat in a small glass, or in a crisp vodka highball with soda and lemon.
