This is the 2025 single-estate añejo from La Mesa, one of the highland fields the Camarena family farms for Tequila Ocho. Every Ocho release carries the name of the rancho and the year of harvest, because the house argument is that agave picked from one plot in one season tastes different from the next — and oak should frame that, not flatten it. Cooked agave, orange peel and light vanilla on the nose; sweet roasted agave, toffee and black pepper across the palate; a warm, mineral finish closing on soft oak. Drink it neat, at room temperature, in a narrow glass that keeps the aromatics in.
