Tezcazul Blanco is unaged blue agave tequila — no time in wood, no colour, nothing between the cooked agave and the glass. That is the appeal and the risk of the category at once, because a blanco shows every decision a distillery makes about cooking, fermentation and cuts. Here it reads as cooked agave, citrus zest and a faint saline note on the nose, sweet agave with green pepper and a mineral streak on the palate, and a clean, crisp finish with a peppery tail. Serve it neat in a copita at cool room temperature, or use it as the base of a lime-forward margarita.
